Queen walks out on Leibovitz, has photo taken at Olan Mills

LONDON (Daily Mail) - Sitting stiffly in full regalia for a pushy American photographer, the Queen was showing admirable composure.

Then the woman behind the lens made one demand too far.

Annie Leibovitz, whose previous subjects include John Lennon and David Beckham, suggested: “I think it would look better without the crown - less dressy - because the garter robe is so extraordinary.”

As the TV cameras rolled, the clearly unamused Queen, 81, scowled, before saying: “Less dressy - what do you think this is?”

Her Majesty is then filmed angrily walking off, telling one of her assistants: “I’m not changing anything - I’ve done enough dressing like this thank you very much.”

She is then seen angrily pacing down one of Buckingham Palace’s corridors with courtiers in her wake, as she throws her hands up in the air claiming she had “done enough” for the picture.

The Queen left Buckingham Palace for a 10-minute trip to the Olan Mills studio on Mortimer Street, just over 2 km from the Palace.

Her Majesty was reportedly pleased with the results, ordering 6 8×10s, 24 4×7s, and 36 wallet size photos.

Olan Mills, what a flashback. Are they still doing business? They used to be known for visiting families with new babies, signing them up for a lifetime contract to do photos. We got hooked in, like many gullible new parents.
